I was in the UK at the time that I realized I needed a high speed card reader for the new card in my camera. This one (Scandisk Imagemate) had the best reviews. We went to several stores and searched online for one. The best cost was on Amazon by far, often by half or sometimes even 3/4's less. Crazy. I don't know how stores get away with charging so much. Thankfully, when the reader arrived in the mail, I immediately downloaded the hundreds of photos that were on my card. All went very smoothly. So, I not only recommend the product, I recommend buying from Amazon.

not sure what or why someone would get a more expensive USB stick for the same amount of memory as this happily and easily does it.

CAUTION don't buy this if you want a twin pack, I did and received only a single SD card and was told "The Product description has been changed by another seller to read Twin Pack". Suggest you check with the supplier what you are going to get before paying. To be fair DBLS did offer a refund but I had already used the card.

I purchased this card for my canon 5D mark ii, it has great speed and works a charm.

The most problems users have while filming with this camera is when they try to take a picture in film mode and the memory card stops filming where as this has no such problem due to the speed it has and does not slow down the camera at all.

I have transferred files between a firewire reader and my mac with extremely stable and fast speeds.

As to the card not failing i can only say i have been using sandisk sd cards for about 5 years now and have never had any fail.
