Excellent!, 2010-03-11 I read a lot of reviews on this item before making my purchase as, other than I-Pods, I had no idea what to look for in an MP3 Player (and I refuse to buy Apple products due to their policy of making it as difficult as possible to use with anyone elses products). This player came out on top by quite a way and I still feel I have made the right choice!
This is significantly cheaper than the equivilent I-Pod and in my opinion serves exactly the same purpose. I use this for music only, I have no need for a mobile video player so I cannot review that element.
The sound quality is excellent, I have used it with headphones, an FM transmitter in my car, with a Sony Home Cinema and a JVC Stereo and the sound quality is at least equal to any other device (including I-Pods) I have used on any of these systems. The Controls are easy to use, even when mounted on my dashboard and the display is easy to read.
If I had any criticisms of the system it is that large playlists (I'm talking 2000-3000 songs) take a while to load, which is hardly suprising really, and the finish is a little cheap looking. However I was well aware of these issues before making my purchase and have actually found them to be less so than implied in some reviews.
All in all this is an excellent little MP3 player, an equal to the I-Pod in all but appearance with the advantage of both being significantly cheaper and not being made by a corperation with plans to take over the world.

:-), 2010-02-28 This is a good player because it is small, lightweight, customizeable, and holds lots of music, photos and videos. Had a few problems with the internett video download, wouldn't download anything from youtube (I have windows 7) but the player itself is great. can't wait to take it to germany on my school trip!

simple, well designed, 2010-03-14 Brilliant design. Simple, elegant and easy to use. That's about all someone who wants some tunes in his ears while in the gym wants.
All playlists and file copying can be done via MS Media Player - no wonky software to mess around with.
If you're a gym enthusiast, this is about as good as it gets in terms of "bang for buck".
We'll see how it fares outdoors, once the weather improves.

A Clever Little Do It All, 2010-02-20 Although this was the second machine I had received the first froze and the charger would not charge, this machine seemed fine. I charged it first for the 6 hours then once finished I tried to use it only to find this too had froze. This time I pressed the reset button with a pin and that was it. The machine lite up like a christmas tree with it's menu screen. I then precided to load my music with it happly accepeted through the windows media player and then later I attempted "YouTube". It did'nt work by simply draging and droping the files, but by reading page 16 in the accompanying insruction book I was able to download a free converting file program and the videos are now all into the machine with ease. Checking on the memory I can put loads of things on this little marvel which is just great. Remembering the actual price of this machine the quality is fantastic and like the I Pod touch when turned sideways the picture fills the whole screen. Please don't expect Archos or IPod picture quality but trust me you will be happly surprised. And to add to this machines charm you will also find a very good FM radio and both picure and video capabilities. In all a great little machine to have to kill a few minutes in a waiting room or while travelling.

Kubik Edge 4gb, 2010-03-15 Right, bought this little thing and it isn't totally what was expected, but still is pretty good. What was different is it is quite chunky. The sound quality is only really good when it is set on 'normal' if you change the equalliser, the sound becomes rather horrible and ditorted. Touch screen can be a little slow sometimes. Games, the only worth while one it 'Russian Diamonds' which is basically tetris. It's a pain trying to put videos and images onto the mp4 because they screen is so small, you must change the size of your images and videos. Video quality okay, but sound isn't much. I made a video and the visual quality was quite good, but the recorded sound made the voices sound high pitched and crackly. Okay, I know I ripped into it a little, but it's still a good little item. You'd think you'd be getting more quality for your money, but your not really. It's a standard item.
