Love it!!!, 2010-03-19
When I opened it, was a bit disappointed, cz the camera was small...but hey..its actually really cool!!!Im getting used to its size now!I must admit very user-friendly...anyone can master it very quicly!!The quality of the pictures are good too!!! I dnt regret buying it!!!n yeah love the red colour!!!:)

Small and light, takes good photos. Red-eye less noticeabke than my previous compact (which is now 5 yrs old). Can be a bit fiddly to do things like set the 'mode' i.e. for taking pictures of children. But otherwise a good purchase.
Disappointing for a Canon, 2010-06-07
I've always had a canon ixus camera, since small, point and shoot digital cameras were around. They are good quality, long lasting and take good photos for my purposes- generally parties, family get togethers, and basically portaits and people shots, holiday snaps, etc.
I was really disappointed with this camera. The red of the casing literally rubs off, and became scratched on nearly the 1st use, despite care and placing it in a case when not in use. The "auto" mode seems to me like it's trying to be too celver- spends ages deciding which mode is best to take a picture in, by which time the moment has passed. Often, if it does take a picture in time, it's blurred. Also, despite using a Class 6 SD card, it takes ages betwen pictures to recover and take the next one. I've compared it with friends' at parties etc, and their pics are more numerous and better quality using comparable cameras. I thought it might be an issue with my particular camera and had it taken in to have a look at, but was told it was functioning fine.
Good points: clear, bright, large LCD screen for playback. Good video function. Looks pretty (before the red came off!). Very small and lightweight- perhaps a little too much so, a bit fiddly to handle.
I've never had anything other than canons but this has put me off so much, I'm considering getting a panasonic lumix instead.

I am very pleased with the camera it is so light and compact and the clarity of the picture is excellent, well worth the money and extremely good value.
