 Another great little canon, 2010-02-17
I bought this for my son's birthday and, though am yet to see many photos, it is easy to use, neat in size and "cool" looking. My son is delighted by the quality and size of the screen and how easy it fits into his jeans pocket too. The only down side is that it needs an SD card to work and so he couldnt start snapping straight away as the one I had ordered at the same time never arrived. I would recommend this as a good starter camera or someone who just wants to take good phots without the fuss.

bought this as a christmas present for my girlfriend, anything electronic and she is not the best.
within a few minute's she was up and running and now is useing it like a pro. the reason i picked the lumix range is because of it's pedigree, i own the lumix dmc fz18 and i love it, it do'es everything i need to do in a camera.

Beware of Amazon's product grouping with this? I bought the camera along with other items through Amazon's recomendations. The memory card supplied as Amazon's package, does not fit the camera, which caused a bit of disappointment on Xmas day. After an e-mail to Amazon, there was NO reply/response?????

Fantastic entry level DSR, 2010-03-11
Gorgeous screen, with beautiful icons and menus (the pictures dont do it justice), the quality of the build of the machine, the brilliant beginner stock lens and the HD video recording ability make this Canon an absolute must buy for beginners. I've only just got into photography and the learning curve of this professional looking camera is not as steep as I imagined it would be at first.
Anyone considering getting this: just do it. Its phenomenal, and you wont regret it for a second, even if your just going to use the stock 18-55mm lens.
