I spent a while pondering over which flatscrren to buy online, but I am so glad I bought this one... Picture quality is great, the connectivity is great... The only thing missing from this awesome HD Ready TV is a Digi-tuner...

But honestly, for the price you really cannot go wrong with this TV.

I bought the Acer P193W this week and I have been absolutely delighted with it. The Amazon reviewers did help me make my choice - I have never bought a LCD screen before - and those that gave rave reviews weren't wrong. I would have liked a bit more information on how to set up my computer with the correct resolution, perhaps Acer could give more info on their site as for me it was quite complicated. But well done Acer on a great product.

This is an excellent product! Images are sharp and well-defined, a boon to someone whose eyesight is not as sharp as it used to be. Thankfully when the screen is perpendicular it is also fairly well-raised from the desk which is just as well because there is no height adjustment - the tilting option makes for even more comfortable watching.

Fantastic monitor for mac, 2008-11-18
I have just bought this monitor after looking around for one for my macbook- I was fed up with the small screen. Setting it up took no time at all and as long as you have a mini DVI to DVI adapter it should work perfectly. Picture quality is first class and watching films on it is excellent. Whilst it doesn't have speakers, if you plug your laptop into external speakers it is just like watching television. I would recommend to all mac-users. Fantastic quality and price!

I have just taken delivery of this Acer X222W and could not be happier with it for the price - looks really good sat on my desk and not one pixel out of place in the screen. I read the other rewiews and this was highly regarded and hasn't dissapointed.

Acer X193W 19" Widescreen TFT Monitor

This is the 2nd one I have bought both from Amazon I think and am very pleased with both. Have got one of each colour and they both look really superb. Very easy set up it does it all for you one is using Vista the other XP and had no problems with them at all. A set up disk was supplied but not needed. All in all a good value for money item. Well recomended.

I've been using this monitor for a couple of weeks now and can say that I am really pleased. No dead pixels, hdmi, good quality images, and no ghosting. To stop you from going blind, you will need to lower the brightness and contrast settings. I have my brightness at 70% and contrast at 50%. This is excellent value for money, and you'd be silly to spend the same amount on a 24 inch monitor instead.

I spent a few days researching which TV monitor to purchase, and this one came up with great reviews from more than one site, and ticked lots of boxes for the features I needed.

Just a note, the Amazon description is wrong. This TV monitor's maximum resolution is 1680x1050, so it's NOT 1080p, and therefore is NOT "Full HD Ready".

This aside, the inclusion of an HDMI port and Composite is what really swung it for me. I'd have liked to have seen a DVI input too, but I have a DVI to VGA converter which seems to suffice. The TV came with a VGA cable, too, so that's good to have since I couldn't find my spare and was dreading butchering my housemate's old PC to get one.

The sound is reasonable for a TV this size, but you might want to invest in an external output. Again, the TV includes a 3.5mm jack cable to output sound somewhere else.

I don't have an aerial cable in the room this TV is in, so I can't say how the digital tuner performs, but the analogue one is fine with a loop aerial. Picture quality is good, but I'd assume it would be better through the house aerial. The swivel stand and hinge are very easy to use. The menu system is also very comprehensive and very easy to read and use.

As a monitor, Mac OS X Leopard detected it without a problem. I don't use Windows so I can't say how it performs there, but you do get a CD of drivers that you'll probably have to install.

I use this TV with my Wii, and the graphics are of good quality and on a par with my 42" LCD TV.

Overall, 9/10. If it had a DVI input, it would be 10/10 for a TV of this size.

Admittedly I'm no techno nerd wanting to run top tech gaming stuff but for normal office and domestic use, this is a cracking little monitor at a very nice price. Easy to set up and nice clear picture. The speakers might be a bit tinny but aren't they all? Anyone wanting decent sound will be running separate speakers anyway.

IT MAKES A WELCOME ADDITION TO THE STUDY, CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH A FILM WITH THIS.
