Good Value -Simple Set up-Fast print-Small Size, 2010-03-16 My iP 1600 gave up the ghost after 5 years of use.Well actually it was working but was dragging three sheets of paper through at a time. Then it would only print alternate sheets. Then it had the habit of printing one sheet and the second one would get caught up and mangled halfway. So after seeing the reviews for the iP2600 I ordered one and it was delivered in two days.
I've just set it up.This was an easy task on Windows XP.Took about 10 mins.
I've just printed off a few test sheets. It's a bit noisy and clattery, like the iP1600 but I'd got used to that. However the print speed is faster and good quality.
Haven't tried colour yet but I'm not too worried as I don't print my own photos and mainly use it for B&W docs with the occasional Multimap.
Also as my desk space is limited it fits nicely on top.The footprint is about the same as the old printer.

Excellent, 2010-02-13 I have a long hate-hate relationship with printers, so I never believed I could find one that actually printed, printed well, scanned when you asked it to, let alone try and do something complicated like feed paper, but lo! I have been completely proven wrong. Here is a printer that even after 6 months does everything it says it does, it makes good quality printouts, its easy to set up and use and hasn't filled my PC will endless unnecessary software. The cartridges are very cheap too, if you look carefully enough.
Brilliant! And a big well done to Epson.

Canon Pixma MP560, 2010-03-17 Very happy so far with this printer. The photo quality is exceptionally good. Its giving me quality photos that my last printer was a million miles from. The inks are on the expensive side, but I intend trying the cheaper ones sold on Amazon. I haven't got into the wireless side yet but thats for the future.

For the price, excellent!, 2010-02-23 Really pleased with this printer. So much better than I thought it would be. Good quality for the price. Easy to install and easy to use. The only down side is that it is a little noisy (and like most printers nowadays, please note, doesn't come with a usb lead). Recommend.

Need a high-performance, cost-effective printer? Look no further than the Deskjet D1660 by HP! The HP Deskjet D1660 has all your daily printing needs covered. It's compatible with a variety of paper types, including photo paper, and is relatively cheap to run.
Nothing to complain about at this price, 2010-03-15 For the money this is a very good printer indeed. It is very compact but produces very good results even on draft setting which would increase the life of the cartridge. I may be wrong but I imagine the reason some people think it "drinks ink" is because it does not come with full sized cartridges but with mini-ones.
As well as being compact and producing good print, it is also very quick for this type of printer.
All in all I have no complaints at all, but I do not actually print a lot which is why I bought this and not a more expensive one.

Good quality and easy to set up, 2010-03-17 I had an old HP printer which was not fully compatible with Vista. I decided to buy a new one and after review of printers available considered HP Photosmart C4680 seemed like the best value for money for a home user. I have not been disappointed with the choice, it was easy to set up and provides good quality prints in both black and white and colour.

Epson StylusPhoto Pack of 50 IJ Prntr CA45301 • Epson Stylus Photo P50 hi definition A4 photo printer• Features CD/DVD printing, up to 37 ppm print speed, 10 x 15 cm photos in 12 seconds and 120 sheet paper tray.
It does everything I want it to do, 2010-02-26 I've had my Epson P50 for about five weeks now, and use it most days. Unfortunately, I had a backlog of printing jobs so, in that five weeks, I've used four cartridges of black ink. I have to say I found the Printer easy to set up, and equally easy to use. In a nutshell, it does everything I want it to do; and I don't regret my purchase.

Great printer, great price!, 2010-02-18 Really happy with this. Our old HP deskjet had died some time ago, and the quality of this was SO much better. Easy to set up and use. Overall a reat printer at a great price! Cost of ink should be a lot cheaper as well with separate cartridges. Definitely a good buy!! Goodbye!!

Beyond expectations, 2009-06-29 Not having bought any HP products before, I bought on the price and print engine speed. No disappointments here. It's quick, quiet(ish) for an inkjet and easy to set-up - around 20 minutes to unpack, install and then print out the test page after a little wait for the ink to charge up. It also seems quite robust in design and manufacture. I've printed ordinary Office documents, post-script Illustrator files and fine type/photos from InDesign CS3. It has sailed through without a problem, processing on average in less than a minute and the ink seems to be lasting ok. Be careful about colour balance and which print settings you choose but, for an A4 printer that does things just as you need efficiently and without fuss, this one works for me.
