Peanut's HP-F4580 All in one Printer review, 2010-09-02 I really cannot recommend this 3 in 1 printer too highly. Its a pocket miracle.
1. Easy to set up
2. Very small footprint.
3. Ink lasts forever (350 sheets on initial cartridges and still printing!)
4.Quiet in operation (after initial transport thunk)
5. Very cheap for a 3-in-1 £39.00!
6. Good print quality on even lowest setting
It has a tiny footprint as it loads and dispenses paper from the front only . It is half the size of my previous Epsom DX4400!
Its pretty quiet after the initial clunk of the transport which can make you jump a little.'
I found it a little tricky to set up initilly as I made an error following the instructions on the installation CD (easily done) The second time all went smoothly. If ,like me you have a Netgear DG834G v5 modem router its a doddle really .I then set the printer up on 3x laptops and another PC which took less than 10 minutes each
Its very quick to print wirelessly taking about 5 seconds to commence printing.
After 2 months use I'm still in love with this little printer and cannot believe the cartridges still haven't run out yet.!
Best price I have found for Extended size original replacement cartridges is £15.00 each on Amazon

A good, affordable printer and a good buy, 2010-08-26 The printer arrived on time and as advertised. It was a snap to set it up for printing. The print quality is very good, as is the scanning and copying quality. This is my third HP printer purchase to date, the first time I have purchased a multifunction deskjet, and I am very happy with my decision to purchase this HP printer. It is a good printer, and quite affordable for people on a budget.

Bargin Printer, 2010-08-06 I needed a smaller printer and after looking at the reviews on Amazon I decided to buy the HP D1660. It took 30 mins to install and I did not have to uninstall my security software (kaspersky), the print out is great. The only downside was having to buy a USB lead separately.

SHOULD HAVE CHECKED MY PAPERWORK!, 2010-08-30 My previous Epson was not printing and telling me that parts were life expired. I bought this more up-to-date Epson through Amazon, the printer is working fine. What i should have done was check my receipt for the expired printer - I had extended its guarantee with Currys where I bought it to August 24th 2010 (3 years) so I could have had it fixed or replaced for free!

HP Pro 8500 Printer, 2010-08-31 we have upgraded from a HP6310 which we loved but couldn't buy a replacement !! shame......this printer is faster in printing & copying which is great - but - the 'lid'for covering the papaerfeed & catching prints is not so great. It is very easily knocked off & it was broken within 3 days of use !! the paper-stop hinges snapped & the paper-stop lip is now held together with sellotape !! definatley a BAD design.

Fantastic printer for the price, 2010-08-23 Good looking printer. Had it for a couple of months now. Bit of a finger-print magnet, as has been mentioned.
Prints are amazingly fast and look as good (if not better) than the prints supplied from on-line shops. Previously I had an Epson R245, and it took about 4-5 times the wait to get a good print out.
Also comes with a built in duplexing unit, for printing on 2 sides of the sheet. Had no problems with this either.
After a bit of trial and error with SureThing (CD Printer software), discs are printing beautifully.
All in all thoroughly recommended.

Epson
Good value, easy to use, 2010-07-25 Epson Stylus Photo 870 and HP Photosmart D5460 each died leaving me with a stockpile of their very pricey inks. This is so cheap, when it dies I'll buy another of the same and get the use of my inks. Print is slower but clear and doesn't run in the rain, which Stylus Photo ink did.
WHEN IT SAYS "INK CARTRIDGE NOT RECOGNIZED", don't waste time and effort with the FAQs. Cleaning makes no difference. It actually means CARTRIDGE EMPTY. It shows all cartridges full all the time until it thinks that one is empty.
You need a stockpile of inks, though. Even Cheetah doesn't last any time and when it says yellow is empty it won't let you print black text.

Great printer etc for the price..., 2010-08-27 I bought this a couple of weeks ago in Comet, but checked it out on Amazon first to see the reviews and so on. Well, what can I say? Have had no problems with it at all, and ordinary print jobs look fine to me so far. Haven't yet tried to print a photo on it yet but will do soon. Also, although I bought ink cartridges as extras in Comet, when I opened the box to get the printer out, there were two cartridges included, which was a nice bonus to be honest. All in all, a decent little combo printer.
