Worked on Ubuntu 10.04 first time out of the box without any software installation. Got it to work on XP with help from supplied mini CD. Well worth it for the tiny price.

I needed handsfree headset for work and looked at the Jawbone. It's a delightfully packaged and presented device. It's remarkable how much time and effort has been lavished on the box and documents.

The Jawbone itself isn't too bad. It gets the job done but don't count on noticing the various claimed "magical" improvements in the Jawbone - no-one I've spoken to has noticed so far. Talking is fine, pairing isn't too bad either but day to day use is still challenging; I still turn the device off more often than I trigger a redial. I still can't figure out how to turn the darn thing up(!). I managed to get the headset to fit without the ear hook once...and only once.

But I'd still say it's not a bad headset and it certainly looks less daft than many.

Oh yes and it's way smaller than I expected.

While it was working it was not 100% reliable but it served a purpose. The specific fault is that changing out one or more of the USB's would render the remaining USB slots useless until you reconnected the device.

Micro Bluetooth USB Dongle EDR Version 2.0

It is advised to pay for your own Bluetooth stack with this little dongle as the software is not really amazing, but with the right software (I use Toshiba Bluetooth stack as I have a Toshiba laptop) this does what its meant to do. I have connected all the devices I have to my computer through this dongle and its very small so it doesn't hinder the portability of a laptop and there is no worries of accidentally snagging the dongle against something and breaking as that has happened to me in the past.
