So glad i decided to buy, router is situated in another room so needed a good network adapter for my Pc desktops and im more than impressed with the performance of this little guy. yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee i installed the netgear wireless router yesterday with no problems at all i was up and running in no time i had no problems with aol as i thought it would have been a nightmare as aol are not the best with things like this so i was very relieved.
my kids are very pleased also as they can go on line wirelessly with their laptops and ps3's. would recomend this product its brill.

This was reccommended to me by a colleague. When capturing an audiance, it is vital that as a presenter you can move about and engage with the audiance when using powerpoints etc.
The range is great and it has a pointer facility.
Well worth the purchase.

I'd looked at several different memory sticks and this one looked easy enough. All I wanted was to be able to pop it in the USB slot, transfer files and go, this certainly does the job. Very easy to use no fuss no problems.

Western Digital TV Live HD Media Player

Good, but don't buy for Youtube music vids, 2010-08-28
I won't add to what others have written on the general setup and function of this device. As others have already said I found it easy to set up and use.

HOWEVER: I specifically bought this as an MTV-Replacement. I was really looking forward to being able to stream my favourite music vids from Youtube onto my tv. I set it up, went straight to Youtube, typed in "Lady Gaga" as the first search and was really pleased to see all her recent hits at the top of the search list.

But it won't play any of them. Not the fault of the device: Every official video that I selected returned an error message saying something like "Can't play because the owner of this material has restricted it from being streamed to TVs" (or something similar).

So I'm going to keep it but I probably won't use it much because all the content that I really want to watch on Youtube has been specifically withheld from devices like this.

Again, I should stress, not the fault of this little device, Western Digital or anyone else. Just the way Youtube works.

Micro Bluetooth USB Dongle EDR Version 2.0

Easy install, does the job its meant to, 2010-09-01
It is advised to pay for your own Bluetooth stack with this little dongle as the software is not really amazing, but with the right software (I use Toshiba Bluetooth stack as I have a Toshiba laptop) this does what its meant to do. I have connected all the devices I have to my computer through this dongle and its very small so it doesn't hinder the portability of a laptop and there is no worries of accidentally snagging the dongle against something and breaking as that has happened to me in the past.

Great device, works well but shame on the lack of tv apps for it!, 2010-08-17
Easy to use, plug in and set up instructions were on tv. My router was in the conservatory through the kitchen whilst the tv was in the living room. Despite the long distance, there was no problem with the signal and connectivity was achieved easily. Shame about the lack of realy good apps to use through the Samsung tv as (for me) there is currently no Facebook. It seems much easier to use the other apps through the computer rather than fumbling with the remote control options. However, I'm sure this will be more developed over the coming months ahead and the device is really good and does what it is supposed to.

Having just bought a new computer and moving my old machine into the spare room I needed a way to connect to the internet. I had purchased oned of these, intended for my new machine, but not fancying the job of taking up floorboards to wire in my old machine to the router thought I'd just try and see if this would work.

Worked like a dream. Have been told that because of the thickness and material our walls are made of (cornish granite) we would have signal problems, but although the signal is only 'good', so far we've had no difficulty.

Installing couldn't be simpler. Take it out of the box and plug it in to a spare usb socket. There is a short extension lead provided (about 8") so that you could position the aerial just above the computer, but I haven't had to use this. Installing the software was very simple, even on my 6 year old machine which is running Windows XP and can be a temperamental bit of kit.

Would recommend this highly, as it's cheap and does the job with great efficiency.
