 I Wish I Bought an iPod Touch instead, 2009-12-15
This is an updated model of the PSP games console, slightly cheaper than the new PSP-3000 which is not much different. I always intended to buy a PSP once the price dropped and so I took the plunge. I looked at the iPod Touch and the Nintendo DS (too childish) as alternatives.
Pros:
Beautiful design and finish
Picture quality is outstanding
Games are the standard of PS2 ones.
Cons:
Not many games compared with the Nintendo DS. The PS3 is relatively new but its total games output is fast approaching the PSP which is over 4 years old!
A lot of high street retailers have ceased stocking PSP games.
As usual Sony does things differently and uses a different video format. Your home movies or YouTube clips must be converted using Media Manager, which is not supplied. The free version on the Playstation website is an upgrade and not the full version.
Battery life is poor - if I have it fully charged and do not use it for a few days, there is no charge left.
A console for the more serious gamer but hampered by the lack of new releases. The choice of games for the iPod Touch is growing all the time and they are cheaper.

Well i think i wouldve wanted to be told the truth about what i was buying.. and not had to sort out the refund through amazon due to the buyer failing to respond to my emails
you can do more with a 2000 model than the others ., 2010-03-16
if you know what you are doing downloading games need not cost you a thing . other model's can do some things but not as much as the 2000 . a modified psp can do pretty much everything most of which is illegal . buying games is best on cd , buying games that are already saved onto memory card can be a gambel especialy if you can do it for free .
