Hoya Pro1 Digital 72mm UV Filter (Pro1D Multi-Coated)
Good protection, 2010-06-28 This filter is good for everyday protection of the lens front element from scratch dust etc. Although, having it will not make any noticeable difference in photograph, I noticed a negligible difference between the expensive digital and cheaper non-digital version. I normally use a digital polariser instead a UV filter all the time. When photographing under low light I take off the polariser and put the UV filter on.

Tiffen
Normal protection filter, 2010-07-07 Can't really fault it.
does what it says...
good build quality as you'd expect from Tiffen.
if you paid few hundred quid for a lens, you definitely must get one of these to protect the front element from day-to-day dirt, humidity and erosion.

Panasonic
Excellent 2nd Lens for G1, 2010-07-19 Like another reviewer my lens arrived in a box that was far too large & the packing was to one side rather than around it.. Luckily for me Royal Mail was careful and as far as I can tell all is well.
Top marks to Royal Mail, not so for Amazon on this occasion..
The lens is very good producing nice sharp images when the light is good. It's not a top class lens but then it didn't have a four-figure price tag so overall it's good value. I suspect the standard 14-45mm is sharper but there's always a trade-of at longer focal lengths.
It's quite large when compared to the standard zoom and the camera body (Lumix G1) but is beautifully made and comes with a decent hood & small bag as well as the usual caps. The size & weight does not affect the overall balance of the camera and it handles nicely.
Choice for the G1/G2/G10 is limited at present (no sign of the 100-330 yet!) but this lens represents an excellent way of extending the camera's capabilities for a reasonable outlay.

Canon
Suppose it works :), 2010-06-16 I'm a newbie to DSLR photography.
I got carried away and bought one of these for a Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS lens, purely because I thought it looks cool on the lens.
Seems to do the trick. A little bit expensive for a bit of (very good quality) plastic, but still worth it.
It would be nice, if Canon included these with all their lenses and not just their really expensive ones.

- This Macro Extension Tube Set for Canon EOS film & Digital SLR,
- it includes 3 extension tubes - 9mm, 16mm, 30mm adapters and a male & female adapter.
- You can mount the tubes between lens and camera body to get your choice of macro ranges.
- Totally it is 8 combinations. They fit directly to the body of the camera without the other adapter.
- just place it on the body of the camera as the lens and put the lens on tube.
Macro extension tubes, 2010-06-07 Good piece of kit a lot stronger than they initially appear and do the job. Not auto tubes but if you know what you are doing that is not a problem. very good for the price.

Brilliant but takes some getting used to!, 2010-06-14 This is my first prime lens and it took some getting used to at first, coming from a zoom but after two weeks of constant use, I feel I'm beginning to really get the best out of it and I've had some very pleasant surprises at just how sharp it can be. I took a photo of my son from about 5ft away and when I zoomed in after on the computer, even every single eyelash was razor sharp. AMAZING! Also the bokeh effect was beautiful!
But I have a Canon 550D, which also shoots high quality video and I have to admit, its not the easiest of lenses to manual focus with (and if you want any sort of professional look to your video, you'll need to shoot manual) The extreme shallow DOF means that a close subject only has to move very slightly and you're out of focus again but in saying that, when you get it right... WOW!
