This camera is brilliant for what ever image you want to capture. This probably the best buy I have made and have never had any problems with it. This camera has lots of features such as, 6 megapixels, 2.4" tft lcd screen, 7 capturing modes, 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and has a built in flash. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a realiable, compact camera for shooting their favourite images.

Excellent camera, 2010-02-24
I've been using a K20 for nearly a year and I'm thoroughly pleased with it. It feels right, the image quality (with the right lens) is excellent, it seems solidly built and it's easy to operate. It's perhaps not the best for sports or fast action photography but for landscape/buildings etc it works extremely well. Going by image quality and the simple 'pick it up and try it' test (which is of course very personal) it was my preferred choice even though my budget would have stretched to cameras costing nearly twice as much. The only criticism I have is that it sometimes underexposes on fully automatic mode (which I rarely use), though it's fine on aperture priority and manual.
Another advantage of this camera is that it's compatible with all Pentax K-mount lenses, so there is a huge selection of glass available including the old manual lenses going back to the 70s. The standard kit lens is OK but a camera of this quality really deserves something better such as the Pentax 16-45 or 17-70, or possibly the 16-50.

Title really says it all, if you want to stand out from the crowd, i.e. basically everyone has a camera these days, then you should get this little gem.
So whats unique about it?

I am a very amateur photographer who has accumulated masses of photos over the years using 35mm SLRs. I decided to go down the digital SLR route after using a compact digital camera as I found I could learn and correct any errors very quickly and got to like to see my results straight away .... and to be able to delete the rubbish !. I "pushed the boat out" and bought the Nikon after doing several weeks of research and price-checking and to say that I am not dissapointed is an understatement. My only one critism is that the camera does not currently come with a data card included. The camera has a variety of modes for different circumstances and having recently taken it on it's first trip out to the RIAT airshow at Fairford, my shots of the fast-moving aircraft were streets-ahead of anything I have ever managed with traditional film. I suddenly take pictures like a pro and can use the digital technology to share, print, publish etc. with ease. I do not see how I will ever outgrow this camera and like it's flexibility and set up. It even uses my Nikon and Sigma lenses from my old Nikon 35mm SLR so saves me having to replace my lenses. All in all I am over the moon with the outcome and can't recommend srongly enough.... Truly an awesome piece of kit and worth every penny .....

Just the job, 2009-07-18
I wanted a new camera and after looking round at the compacts decided to go for something a bit more versatile.I was so glad that I did because it rekindled an old love that I had for photography in the 1960`s.I then had a 35mm S.L.R. and various lenses etc.The technology on this camera is amazing and it is as easy to use as a compact,or can almost achieve professional results.All in all I am delighted with all my purchases from Amazon.(Actually I thought Amazon only sold books and c.d`s until I saw a link on e-bay).To get back to the point the camera and site deserve 5 gold stars.Well done.I will be back on this site for a new DSLR in the Spring.
