18 months old and still a fantastic camera!, 2009-12-20 I have had this camera for 18 months and I have to say I am as impressed as I was the first day I used it!
Think about the functions available to you, use them wisely and you won't go wrong - this camera really is easy to use and produces great photos.
High ISO values produce excellent dusk/night-time photos but you may need a tripod for greater pics.
Battery life isn't as excellent as they quote, but I purchased a spare to give greater independence out & about.
Altogether excellent - I thoroughly recommend it!

Brill!!, 2002-04-23 Just bought this camera the other day and it does exactly what it says on the box. The pictures are fantastic and thankfully Amazon included a 64mb card with it (the 8mb card ran of space after half an hour! - You cant help snapping those pictures). The camera has all the features you could want - a timer - four different effects (black and white, old fashioned brown picture, negative images and solarize!) - you can zoom in on any part of your picture (even once its taken). You can even pass the picture through your TV so everyone can see what you are looking at (great for a family photo when you put the timer on!) Taking pictures in the dark is amazing (having never seen this function before) the picture comes out as if it were daytime? Although trying to find the subject through the infra-red viewer is difficult. If you have the money buy this I cant fault it. Yet!!!

6.03 MILLION RECORDED PIXELS.6 X OPTICAL ZOOM.256MB MEMORY CARD.MACRO AND SUPER MACRO FUNCTION.CCD.A/VCABLE,4 RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
The best of them all., 2007-05-01 I've used almost every known make and model of camera from rangefinder to SLR but I have never come across such amazing quality and versatility as that of the 602z. It is simply outstanding with an easy to use macro facility which has delivered shots of a quality I have seldom, if ever, found in other quality cameras.

Great first buy..., 2003-01-10 I own this camera for about 6 months now. I did a lot of research on digital cameras before buying it as this was my first digital camera... At first I was skeptical about the quality of such a camera. Well let me tell you it is great, if anyone wonders if it can replace a classic camera the answer is YES. The images are sharp, clean and support high resolution for large printouts. I really like this model as it can be used as point a shoot or in more advanced modes, thus gives great flexibility. The only downside I found till now is the memory stick that comes with it is not enough for a person that keeps on pressing that magic button with no stopping but you can always give some extra pounds to get greater memory...Allround a great camera with impressive quality and functionality.

Fuji A303 Camera, 2003-06-26 I have to agree with all of the points made by Reviewer: shrewd_buyer from Wallasey, Merseyside United Kingdom in his review. In response to soem one elses comments, the casing is not as good as other cameras. However I purchased this camera back in January just proir to my deployment to the gulf. Despite the sand storms, and physical abuse that is enevitable in those conditions, my camera came back still operational! Others did not, including two Kodak Digital camera's! My only critisism of all of these compact cameras is that the flash is not powerful for many conditions. As a result of this, I am about to replace my aging SLR (20 years old) with another modern one complete with falsh hot shoe!

Olympus
Based on the hugely successful 35 mm Mju range, the Mju 300 Digital takes the styling that we all know and love (over 20 million sold worldwide) and brings it into the 21st century. On the inside, Olympus's heritage in optics shines through once again as the camera boasts a superb, high precision f3.1/5.2 3x optical and 5x digital zoom (equivalent to 35-105 mm on a 35 mm camera). On the outside, the camera has a 1.5", 134,000 pixel LCD monitor. The camera also includes a lithium-ion rechargeable battery and Olympus's new xD-Picture card technology. To protect everything the...
weather proof is needed, here it is..., 2006-11-07 Had this camera over a year, always in my pocket
I dropped it in the sea once and it still works
so really is water proof (dont do that though)
Pictures are great, split photos (two in one)
panaramic photos (twelve pictures best took with tripod)
sapia and black and white photos and can change colour photos
afterwards on the camera itsself, do replica photos too
I bought a second battery (very cheap here)and they last the whole day and night, with flash, night vision but flash is good enough
Its a snap shot camera so if your a pro then no (buy a million dollar camera and complain about that) I've had very expensive cameras and still prefer this one
would give more stars if possible

Excellent camera, 2009-08-07 I have had this camera from its launch. It has been superbe! I am now looking for a replacement that is just as good or better as my current model is getting very worn and getting smartmedia and CF to work is becoming a problem. Mind you it has been up mountains and down mines and I have done things I am sure it was never designed to do! If anyone can adviose a suitable replacement, i would be very grateful.....M

Styled to look like a baby S602, the 3.2 Megapixel S304 digital camera offers 6x optical zoom and a large 1.82 inch LCD. Being a 3 Megapixel camera with a street price of under £300, this is a good alternative to the Ultra Zoom range from Olympus, as well as, being a good value 3 Megapixel camera. On the rear of the camera, the lack of buttons can be slightly worrying, and where most manufacturers are adding as many as possible, Fujifilm has scaled it down to only a few, mainly one to access the menu and another to change the display. This is a good thing for the beginner – ...
an excellent camera!, 2004-05-20 Camera is extremely easy to use. Excellent quality photos and good battery life. I bought a 128Mb XD card - over 200 photos in hi res. Optical zoom is brilliant, and you can even zoom in on the preview pictures. A couple of niggles; when shooting in low light conditions it is very hard to make out the viewfinder, you can display this on the lcd screen but everything is very dark until you take the snap - the previews and resulting pics are good though. Another niggle is a delay between pressing the shutter and the picture being taken (even the viewfinder freezes), annoying when you are trying to take a shot of a moving subject. Otherwise an excellent camera. Amazon don't stock all of the extras for the camera, but the uk Fuji mail order web site is very efficient for buying spare parts etc. if not a bit on the pricey side.

Fuji's F601 is the follow-up to the popular F6800 and has a wealth of options for avid digital camera users. Based around a vertical orientation instead of the usual horizontal one it will at first be unfamiliar territory for those used to a 35 mm camera, but once you've put aside your differences the images that the F601 produce are very good. Fuji cameras sit in a docking unit, making wires dangling around the desk a thing of the past. This is a nice addition for the newcomer keen to make the transfer of files to the PC as easy as possible. Working on the third generation...
Perfect multimedia tool?, 2004-03-26 When researching my first digicam, only two met all my specs - this and the Nikon CP4300.I handled both, but was seduced by the tough alloy body, style, compactness and video/audio capability of this little Fuji. Offering Auto,Scenes,AP,SP and full Manual control,it delivers perfect shots time after time.I always shoot at 3mp fine - I have never used the 6mp setting;you have to remember that bigger files take longer to load and use up more file space.I have successfully printed up to about A4 size.In short a great camera to travel with - but buy a 128mb card and a spare battery, then you can shoot 100 or so photos without removing the card at all.Back home, transfer of images to PC is a doddle using the docking station, and Finepix viewer is easy to use. There simply aren't many cameras in the sub-£300 bracket which can do what the F601z can.Sadly it is now discontinued!
