First of all, if you want to use these away from your HiFi or Computer, I wouldn't recommend them (they use IR, which will be blocked by going behind obstacles). I would recommend cordless radio ones instead, as you get better quality which doesn't diminish, and you also have a much larger range (most are around 100m). However, cordless radio headphones have a lower battery life.

I was suprised how good these turned out to be. The sound quality is excellent, with good clear sound and bass (which I heard is rather unusual for IR cordless headphones).

I was worried when I first purchased them that the sound quality would be poor (as you need to be in the line of sight of the transmitter to get the best quality). The quality of the sound changes very little if you aren't in the line of sight of the receiver, and only really diminishes if you walk past an obstacle (if you put an obstacle in front of the transmitter, the sound doesn't diminish, you just hear a hissing sound which will get louder the more the transmitter is blocked)

So long as you have the transmitter in a spot that is clear of obstacles (which includes wires and such), the sound quality will remain good.

The contents is pretty good too. The transmitter is plugged into the mains via an AC adapter (supplied), with another wire coming out which plugs into your HiFi or whatever (I use mine with my computer), and a third cable is supplied which connects the headphones to the transmitter for charging the batteries.

You get 15 hours of battery life with one full charge, and it takes 16 hours to fully charge the batteries.

The headphones are very comfortable to wear. That second band you see in the picture expands when you put them on, ensuring a firm but comfortable fit.

Overall, these are a good buy. I would recommend them to anyone considering buying a pair of cordless IR headphones.

These headphones are comfortable but hold firmly onto my head. The audio is hiss-free at any comfortable volume, unless I deliberately cover the entire sensor or hide behind an obstacle whilst at 90° from the front of the sensor. A direct line of sight is not required, the signal must reflect off walls. I have very light walls, maybe it wouldn't reflect so well off of darker walls.

I took a chance buying these to see if they worked with my incar DVD player - they do. As the retail price from the car sales people for the pukka brand is £42.50 a set you can imagine where I'll go for extra sets to keep the kids quiet!!!

Initially I thought these headphones sounded terrible, but it turns out they just need a powerful input to make them work well. Once I'd cranked up the volume on my sound card they headphones provide a pleasant listening experience. The audio range isn't bad but the sound can be a hint warbley at times. The fit is rather firm but the ear pads themselves are comfortable. I managed around 5-6m range here before starting to sound unacceptable. Considering these are a tenner cheaper than most other cordless headphones they're good value for everyday listening, putting in a respectable if not sparkling performance.
