the item itself is okay and dvd picture quality is good. you can view your photo pictures on cd but the quality is low, the tv reception is great if you jack it up to your normal tv areial and you can receive upto 25 freeview channels digitally. because its jacked up to the main tv areial its not portable anymore. (good for caravans ect) the areial supplied with it is of no use whatsoever, it has no signal strenght and is the size of your hand. buying a portable areial means its has to be of some size, which has a good signal strenght to be able to receive some channels but not all unless you fiddle around trying to locate it in the room to receive another channel possibly losing the one previous. the picture quality is great as its digital.(screen size rectangular)
the plug for it was "L" shaped which meant it only fitted in small sized extention sockets. this is an odd feature to have and slightly annoying.it doesn't seem to work properly with an alternative adapter.
getting over these hitches i came across another which is the battery pack. it states in the infomation pack that the battery must be attached to the dvd/tv player when adapter is used which causes a problem when using it in the car - using the ciggarette plug adaptor to power it, it won't sit in the carry case as the battery makes it too big, you can have it sat on your lap but it gets warm after being on for some time.
the infomation pack doesn't have a contact number for accessories for their product and so i hope i can find them elsewhere when needed,(tv areial adaptor, remote control, carry case, ect)(x1 tv areial adaptor and remote do come with pack)
all in all i think its a little pricey, a product that will do well in a caravan or home but isn't so portable friendly for kids or travellers. a few years from now this type of gadget will be brilliant. look at other named brands, maybe pay a little more for something a little more advanced in its design and tech to suit your needs.

Despite some of the poor reviews, I purchased this item about a month ago.

The screen is bright and clear with on screen controls for colour, contrast, aspect ratio, TV tuner etc. The TV tuner is pretty good, it picks up the four major channels using the aerial supplied (I cannot get ch5 on my main set) AND it makes a great portable monitor for a camcorder!!

Pretty much everything you could ever need is in the box.

Ever bought something that said you can connect it to 'xxx', use it with 'yyy' but when you looked in the box the required connector wasn't there and reading the manual, it stated 'Optional extra - not supplied' or similar --- Irritating isn't it!.
Not so with this item, about the only this you don't get is a scart lead or adaptor (I've got several of those anyway + you can pick one up for a couple of quid), everything else is in the box, including a 12v adaptor for the car!.

Yes, the method of connecting the battery to the unit via a double plugged link is decidedly 'clunky' but it works. Many Units from a major manufacture use a similar method of mounting the battery pack underneath the player. The only difference is that the connector is between the units. Not a major issue but it does give you something small that can easily be lost.

It does mean that the Power unit can charge the battery or power the player but it doesn't do both. I.E. with the power unit plugged into the battery and the battery plugged into the player, the battery goes flat after about four or five hours or so. Not exactly a major problem.

The Games CD was in the box and the games are a refreshing trip down memory lane. Many of the 80s&90s arcade classics are in there (several dozen in fact), including many from Nintendo, Kunami and Sasho. OK some of then are a bit obscure and others don't run at all but those that I recall are exactly as I remember them. I handed the unit it to my 9yo nephew and didn't see it again until the battery was flat, what more can I say.

In my experience the battery lasts about 2.5 hrs on DVD, ( plenty for a movie ). a fraction longer on Games and 6 on TV/AV, which is pretty good.

The down side, well a couple of minor niggles but nothing really 'down'.
The Power switch is a little 'soft' making it a little too easy to accidentally turn it off.

The Game controllers could be better. E.G. the ones I have needed you to press 'Down' fairly hard to get it to work, all the other controls are OK.

The manual is a little 'short' and written in 'Japenglish' but then many are. It tells you pretty much all you need to know.

The reason I went for this unit is because of all four features.
DVD player, TV, Monitor + Games and in my opinion it does all four very well. Obviously, it's a DVD player first and for that it's a pretty good one.

The bonus is, it has three other functions that it does very well too.

I ordered this despite reading negative reviews. I was pleasantly surprised! The DVD quality was fantastic. I did try the TV aerial that came with it but the picture wasnt great. However I bought a cheap aerial costing £4 to add to it and the tv picture was perfect. I took it on holiday (middle of fields in derbyshire) and found tv picture was poor, so I suspect that location may be why others have found tv picture poor? Set up was easy to follow. Comes with game pads and loads of games. The games are the old favourites such as mario etc. No carry case/bag but hey for this price you cant go wrong! Dont be put off by others, bargin in my opinion!

Hi all
I bought this a little over a month ago its great
but dont expect a manual you dont get one in the box
but you dont really need one .
pictures good with easily corrected clarity (which is a good job as the dial is on the right hand side at the front and easily knocked)
plays all dvds and cds
in order to use the games side of it you have to download the cd from the net its not in the box!(before you try check you have the option to "burn an image" on your cdr software.
If you try to contact BNI(blue nova international)as i have done to get the disc it takes ages (5 weeks so far)and the manual is on the disc apparently
battery lasts about 3 hours on dvd play back but longer on tv
but all said and done it is value for money (could do with a car mount kit (i have found on on another site for £15)

This is a great buy for only £150.You get a TV,a DVD Player and 200 games.First off the TV quality is better than I expected although slightly fuzzy.I got all 4 terrestrial channels here in Ireland on it.The screen is nice and clear for DVDs and large enough too. DVDs play well and there were no errors for me.Although this is supposed to play DVD-RW and SVCDs it does neither. It just does normal DVDs,VCDs,CDs and MP3CDs.For the games the disc came in my box with 200 games on it.Just pop in the disc and a controller and choose from a list of the games. The games are excellent 8 bit classics.Overall this is great value and if you`re thinking of getting a portable DVD player this should be it.
