This little record player is fantastic. Really simple to operate, stand alone,
great sound for your old vinyls. Would not pump sound out in a huge room but
you can add speakers if you wish. Obviously the sound quality is not that of
a CD but i have been in heaven playing all my old records. Highly recommend

This is not our first experience of buying a USB Turntable and the first one was an absolute disaster so I was very apprehensive of trying an alternative.

We purchased this item as we want to digitize all our 7", 12" and albums and get rid of them.

Set up was easy although we had some sound problems due to the CD not providing the software for Windows 7. However, we spoke to ION Technical team who were very good and resolved this issue very quickly.

The EZ software which comes with the turntable is very easy to use and at the time of importing enables you to put in basic data relating to the record. It imports the recordings into Itunes where it is really easy to amend the information further to enhance the data to help you categorise further (i.e. genre, year, track numbers).

The quality on listening to the recordings via itunes is on par with the quality of the CDs which we have ripped to our PC.

In summary, we have been really impressed with out initial tests and are now pressing on and creating a huge library of all our vinyls. I would certainly recomment this item.

I purchased this item for a Christmas present for hubby. I decided to buy the refurbished one on offer at the time which was reduced in price due to being an unwanted item. Unfortunately it did have a fault and had to be returned to the supplier. Apart from the inclement weather which affected the whole of the Country it was dealt with in double quick time. In fact I returned it on a Friday and it was back with me the following Friday, ship shape and Bristol fashion! It is going to be a very useful item as far as recording all our old vinyls (I love the scratchy sounds of the 60's)and have a choice now of downloading to CD or MP3. Steepletone made the return of it very easy, all done with the aid of a laptop and printer. Even though we had this hitch, I would still recommend the item.

Now, seeing as Steepletone is barely stocked anywhere where you can actually get a hold of, touch of, feel of... I had to just go ahead and purchase this item and to hell with the consequences!

Now I just expected a standard record player, made to look like a retro record deck. I waited in my day off, hoping it would turn up and it freaking well did! I couldn't help but nearly tear through the box and surface what i'd spent a small fortune on what would be deemed as old technology. It's epic, the size really translates to at least a 12'' record size plus a more than adequate amp that has been put in the front. Black leatherette finish, makes it look like the traditional amp it's trying to emulate (no cutting corners here)and all the metal components are of high quality (the locks, dials and plates etc) and the biggest surprise came when looking at these. Apart from the advertised internal radio (FM/AM), it actually has a an SD card slot to let you play MP3's!

Limited to just SD cards (so maximum amount of data you can put on it is 2Gb at best) it still made a great item even better! Stacking the records eliminates the problem of constantly changing vinyl (especially when it comes to those pesky 7'' singles) but it works, fantastically and this is THE present for any vinyl-o-holic that hasn't got a decent record player, not a bad weigth to carry around and awesome build. You would be proud to stack this anywhere in your house..even on display!

As a customer that was wary of the entire product and really wanted to see it before i bought it. I wouldn't worry. It's all it needs to be and more! Just make sure you send off the guarantee enclosed with the player itself (and steepletone even give you the option of extending the guarantee to three years for £35.00, a very real possibility i may take them up on it!)
