Good sound, 2010-07-12 What's to say? Plug the wire from the cassette into your MP3 player headphone socket, slot the cassette into the player, make sure the tape direction is correct, and press play on your MP3 player. I notice a slight hiss, reminiscent of an actual tape, in between tracks but, when playing, the sound reproduction is excellent even on bog-standard car stereo equipment. We tried one of those radio transmitters, which you plug into your MP3 player and tune your car radio into, before but this thing absolutely destroys that thing for sound quality. Saved us from replacing the built-in cassette player and ruining a matching car interior too. Definitely recommend this item.

For extra safety, the two units of the HCB-700 are separated. Attach the Info display at eye level ? the base is flexible and can be mounted where it best suits you. When a call comes in, a quick look at the Info display reveals the name and/or number of the person calling. The other part ? the control unit ? is placed close to your hand. You can easily scroll through your phone?s address book and change settings with the easy-to-use buttons without looking at the control unit.Bluetooth? wireless technology allows you to leave your mobile phone in your pocket. Nice easy DIY fitting, 2007-04-30 Having always used Nokia Car Kits the decision to look for units by different manufacturers was a big one. After debating whether to get the Nokia CK-7W, Parrot CK3100 I opted for the HCB-700. What drew me to it was the ability to easily switch between handsets by just pressing a button on the control knob.
Instructions on fitting are clear with only four main wires, these being constant live, earth, radio mute (optional) and live when the ignition is on. All components are clearly marked where to plug into the main "brain". Fitting was straightforward apart from deciding where to fit the LCD and control Knob.
Following the instructions for synchronising phones was straightforward and switching between phones very easy. I can not test the unit to its full potential as I'm using it with a Nokia N70 and Nokia 6230, However; changing the colour of the LCD screen is available and very useful if you want different phones identifed by different colours.
Accepting calls is just a push of a button and if I had a Sony phone voice dial or phonebook dialling would be just as simple.
For those curious about the size of the control knob it sits approximately 4cm high and approx 7cm diameter.
Edit...
Had this fitted for over a year now, used a variety of different phones with it (Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Blackberry, Palm, Sony Ericsson) currently using it with an SE850i, phone book syncs no problems, voice dial works with other phones as well, but seems to work better with the SE850i. Not had any issues with any phone I've used with it.

- The Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Car Handsfree HCB-105 is a pocket-sized in-car solution that requires no installation and combines a sleek design with remarkable sound and performance.
- The HCB-105 provides a convenient way to communicate handsfree while on the road, minimising physical distractions. The Bluetooth Car Handsfree HCB-105 attaches to your car visor via a simple clip and can be controlled using just two buttons to power on or off, answer or end calls and adjust volume.
- With a talk time of up to 25 hours and a standby time of up to 700 hours, the HCB-105 lets you keep in touch, even on the longest of journeys. It is the perfect in-car solution for those that demand good looks, simplicity and extraordinary sound quality.
does just whta it's supposed to........nearly!, 2010-03-07 this unit was very easy to set up and making calls is as easy as you like the sound quality is great and does all you could ask of it.....................just a could of very minor niggles.
1. it does not pick up mine or my wifes phones automatically. you have to push buttons to make the connection which is annoying rather than a real problem.
2. the second one is less important in that I can't sroll through the address book on the unit. I have to pick up the phone to do that. but scrolling through the address book while you are driving is dangerous any way so that is not really a problem which I would not do any way.
but I would recommend this unit

Great Product, 2010-03-28 Really great purchase. Easy to use and very effective. One of the beast things I've ever bought! I did previously buy a radio transmitter thing that should work with the iPod/iPhone but it never worked. This is so simple and handy, I am mega pleased with it.

In-car Bluetooth, 2010-06-10 The Sony Ericsson HCB-108 Bluetooth Car Speakerphone is a very simple device to set up in conjunction with your mobile phone and thereafter to use. The silver finish initially distracted me (after using a black finish device from a different manufacturer) but this was short-lived. It has a blue light to signify the phone is connected and that feature is very useful for quickly checking the connection.
The sound quality is very good too.
Overall I would recommend the Sony Ericsson HCB-108 Bluetooth Car Speakerphone to any prospective purchaser.

Useful in a caravan, 2010-07-16 We recently purchased a new Elddis caravan with a fitted Sony Radio/CD unit. The instruction booklet mentioned this remote control device which was not available from Sony direct. A quick search at Amazon found it and it arrived only 2 days after ordering. (Well done to Car Audio Warehouse). I had not realised that some car radios have this facility. Ideal for use in a caravan as it saves getting up from the seats. It provides all the necessary functions and the buttons are well spaced for ease of use. Unit is slim and well made using CR2025 battery in a slide in/out tray.
