The nearly must-have, 2002-08-28 So how do you fault a HotSync cable - it does the job right ?Well I would push for a little more functionality - for instance, why is there not a travel adaptor that will allow the Clie to trickle charge via the same USB slot that you are HotSync-ing to ? It is worth knowing that the adaptor that comes with the HotSync cable and allows it to plug into the Clie contains a second socket for a power supply. This socket is the same as that on the back of the original cradle, meaning that once you have the HotSync cable kit, you do not necessarily need to buy a second power supply for travelling (although one for the office may still be advisable).

The Sony Clié SL10 combines the best features that every Palm OS 4 PDA offers with a range of Sony extras, to provide a superb contender in the entry-level PDA category. Sony's extras include a Memory Stick slot which means you can augment the 8 MB RAM, and a 320 x 320 pixel screen. Even on the SL10's greyscale display this is obviously a fine feature. There is also a reasonable bundle of free software from Sony including picture editing, image viewing and drawing tools. Sony steers clear of providing its more advanced freebies like its MP3 player. This is probably a good thin...
Great for a student on a budget, 2003-07-27 I am 15 and so don't have that much money and so however much I love the more expensive clie's I went with this and it meant I didn't have to save that long. I use it to store phone numbers, to do's, and lots of essays and coursework. I also got a 8MB memory card to back all this important info (this is so easy with the backup software). With this being a palm device you can go to many sites and download games and apps, like I downloaded a periodic table, and a few games. Documents to go is brilliant, I can take down notes and write essays with ease, I just wish that it had a spell checker, as I have to sync it with my pc to spell check, although I can see that this would take up a lot of room on the relatively small memory. I would recommend getting rechargeable Nickel cadium batteries as they last 10 time more than normal Nickel metal hydride ones.

Sony Clié Audio Adaptor for T Series - PEG-ASA10, 2002-07-31 This little gadget is amazing, it gives you the ability to transform your Sony Clié into an MP3 player. By recording MP3 files onto a memory stick and then inserting this into the Clié allows you to listen to the recorded files (with amazing sound quality). Although it is priced fairly high. It is well worth the price.

If you were a Psion 5 user... think about it. Seriously., 2005-05-28 It took me months to decide on the handheld I wanted. I'd played with PocketPCs and knew that I wasn't happy with the wifi performance or a number of other things about the OS, so I was fairly sure that it was either Linux (Sharp Zaurus) or a Palm device. Looking around, I found that the battery life on the Clie TH55 was by far the best available. On top of that, it included everything I wanted: wifi, camera, and a decent software base for improvement. So I bought one from Amazon UK (marketplace seller) and tested it out for a few months. What do I think now? Well, it's been endlessly useful. Software exists to support just about anything I could want to do. Sshing into a server? No problem. FTP? Easy enough. The email client is more than sufficient, and the web browser is surprisingly effective for a system that really shouldn't be able to do half of what it does. I've found that the Japanese habit of carrying such a device around on a lanyard has a lot more sense behind it than I ever imagined, especially for those of us who really do commute, travel, or get bored in meetings! That said, I'll be looking at the UX-50 for the convenient keyboard, just as soon as I find one available at a second-hand price. If the TH55 suffers from anything, it's low compatibility with the various Palm expansion options such as keyboards and so forth - but it's such a complete platform in and of itself that you won't be needing most of those gadgets anyway.

Best accessory to have around for heavy NZ90 users!, 2003-08-24 The PEGA-BP500 is a must for heavy users as the NZ90 retail package only contains one unit of it, and this sure is not enough for heavy office and business users. Slim and compact enough to fit into any pockets, the BP500 poses a necessity among all the range of accessories for the NZ90. Pros: 1. Doesn't have any memory effect. 2. Smart Info Lithium will show the duration of battery charge and hours it will be before it depletes. This is very helpful for guiding owners for usage budgeting and charging intervals. 3. Small enough to fit into any case/pocket. 4. No hassle to buy a bigger battery extender like most other Clie models. Just take out the worn out one and replace it with a freshly charged battery. A complete wireless on the move device! 5. Comes with manufacturer warranty and recycleable. Cons: 1. Nearly non, therefore I'd comment that this battery is a bit pricey on the tag. But worth it the purchase.

Having already dipped its toe into the ocean that is the PDA market with the PEG-SN770C and the PEG-S300 models, Sony has now jumped in with a second-generation monochrome model, the PEG-T425. Featuring the same 33MHz Dragonball processor, high-resolution 320x320 monochrome screen and jog wheel functionality, 8 MB of internal RAM, the latest version of the Palm OS (v. 4.1) and a super-slim aluminium body. Very similar in design to Sony's previous monochrome model, the PEG-T425 features the same jog dial button, allowing for easy one-handed navigation around applications. The sc...
Clie T425 Fantastic, 2002-12-10 I have just bought a Sony Clie T425 - and all I can say its fantastic, the screen is much better than the old green screen palms of old ( like the palm pilot pro ) and the grey scale screen is really clear, and looks great in its high res 320x320. A colour clie would be better - but for a black and white model the PEG-T425 is fantastic.
